10 Minute Bible: Getting a Grip on Gods Word

Amazing Grace: Just the Black Notes !

Amazing Grace - Just the black notes

Salvation

The Bible says God is alive. He has always existed. He is the
Designer and Creator of the universe. No one equals Him in power,
authority, or knowledge. He is a Person, and cares about the people
He has made. He is holy and always does what is just and right. He
loves each one of us, and rightly expects us to obey Him lovingly.

Jesus Christ is God. He has always existed, but became man by miraculous
birth, and lived on earth to show us what God is like. He healed the
sick and handicapped. He comforted those who were sad, fed the
hungry, brought dead people back to life, and rebuked hypocrisy and
greed.

Jesus died for all people. He voluntarily accepted the punishment
for sin that we deserve for disobeying God and failing to honor Him.
Three days after His death, Jesus lived again! Many witnesses saw
and talked to Him. Six weeks later He went back to heaven where He
lives today as Lord and Savior.

We can be forgiven of all our wrong, and instead of experiencing
God's punishment, live joyfully with Him forever. We must sincerely
admit that we have sinned and dishonored God, and place our entire
confidence in Jesus Christ as the One who laid down His life for us.
Those who commit themselves to Jesus Christ become members of
God's family. We are motivated to live clean and honest lives by an
appreciation of Christ's love for us. The Holy Spirit directs us and
gives us the ability to live this new kind of life.

Jesus Christ is coming back again for His followers. Ultimately,
all men will be raised from death. Depending on their response to
Christ in his life, people will either experience eternal separation
from God in Hell or have eternal life.

SOS for the Life of Solange Kohls

Can you help, Solange has been in Intensive Care for over a year now. Just now she has been released to an assisted living location. That is run by the assemblies. She is doing much better but still requires a lot of care and has a long way ahead of her yet. Both Paulo and Solange are full time workers in Brazil and they have two wonderfull kids.

I am commited to try to help them in any way possible. From here the best way is with money, to try to defray there expenses that are extremely high and they don't have insurance.

Anything sent this way will be forward 100% to Abrilac. Or if you so wish I can give you information and you can send it directly. I will use the entire month of Nov to work on this project.

The assemblies in Brasil have been suggested to give $10.00ea that way it's not a burden on any local assembly. But anything we give will help and will support these brothers that are needing our encouragement now more than ever.

The disease that had hindered here has caused a loss of muscle tone completly in her body for over a year, complicating several other organs, but it seems that Prayers lifted up are helping Solange for a change to better. Let's continue to help her.

I will send out a final report on November 30th.

Thanks in Advance.

No Greed

"Someone in the crowd said to him, "Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me." Jesus replied, "Man, who appointed me a judge or an arbiter between you?"

Then he said to them, "Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a man's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions."

And he told them this parable: "The ground of a certain rich man produced a good crop. He throught to himself, 'What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.' "Then he said, 'This is what I'll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. And I'll say to myself, "You have plenty of good things laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry." '

"But God said to him, 'You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?'

"This is how it will be with anyone who stores up things for himself but is not rich toward God."
Luke 12:13-21.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life". John 3:16

"And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son [Jesus]. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life". 1 John 5:11-12

Need to finish......

Working on a project and need to finish it soon. Hopefully today. Hope there are enough hours in the day... Will try to accomplish this task.

The Job - Test

This came across my desk this morning...

THE JOB - TEST

(Whoever wrote this one deserves a HUGE pat on the back!)

Like most folks in this country, I have a job. I work, they pay me. I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit. In order to get that paycheck in my case, I am required to pass a random urine test (with which I have no problem). What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test.

So, here is my Question: Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check because I have to pass one to earn it for them?

Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet. I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone sitting on their ass - doing drugs, while I work. . . Can you imagine how much money each state would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check?

I guess we could title that program, 'Urine or You're Out'.

Pass this along if you agree or simply delete if you don't. Hope you all will pass it along, though. Some thing has to change in this country -- and soon!!!!!!! Ps. There should be mandatory drug testing for congress and all government employees

What a joy...

To Celebrate the ressuraction of the one that died on the cross of calvary to pay for my sins and transgressions. We have lack of words to express our gratitude and our thankfullness for everything He has done for use. And remember what happens on the horizontal is always covered and secured as long as we are Faithfull to the vertical relationship in Life. Don't just preach it above all things you must live it. For the Honor and Glory of the One that Died to save us.

Glory be to Him !!! For ever and ever Amen !!!

Definetly not feeling good today

Today I woke up feeling like a steam roller has gone over my entire body. Just to worsen my already usual pains and akes. But head is stuffed up and feel miserable, trying to make myself motivated to move about but it's not working today....

Wow.....

Time flies, it seems like the older you get the quicker time goes bye. I know it happens to me. What about you ?

Thoughts....

Ideas are flowing in my brain. Is it time to take action ? Should I ? Could I ? Why not, let's make the best of it. Dare to take a leap. I am about to do it...

Bible Study

It's been almost 3 months now, a group of men from our local assembly decided it was time to get together once a week for study of the word of God. We have done so every saturday morning from 7am to 8:30am. It's been very profitable and we are learning and sharing with each other. I encourage you to try something similar. Just be careful that you not only let the spirit direct you but that you also rightly divide the thruthfull word of God. Not letting personal things interfere with what the Bible teaches and says things should be. We live in a time and age where we need more involvement with our spiritual side. There are many that will be in a lost eternity if we don't do what the Lord has commanded us to do. Which is our duty....

Did you by chance stop bye here and read this. I encourage you to follow this link and order a FREE cd to hear more about this good news.

Pondering Thoughts

Wow, this year is flying bye or am I just getting old quicker? Hehehe... We are almost at the End of February. Work has been a challenge, but Faith has help overcome any kind of circumstance that might cross our paths. Daughter and Son are my pride and joy. And wifeeee still by my side no matter what. We are planning our mid year vacation, since we will not be going to Brasil this year. Only the kids...

This is my Bible

This is my Bible, I am what it says I am.
I have what it says I have.
I can do what is says I can do.
Today, I will be taught the Word of God.
I boldly confess: My mind is alert.
My heart is receptive. I will never be the same.
I am about to receive the incorruptible.
Indestructible, ever-living seed of the Word of God.
I will never be the same. Never, never, never.
I will never be the same.
In Jesus Name Amen.

What Happens when Frustration Sets in....

Here is my take. First of all walk away. Secondly take a deep breath. Third, pray to the Lord God Almighty and ask Him to Intervene, place entire situation into his hands and let Him be sovereign over entire situation. After all He is the only one that can guide you through the circumstances that you will face on a day to day basis. You will see that once you learn to release those things into His hands. Things will do much better. Remember you should be the co-pilot and He should be the Pilot at all times and in all situations.

The Word Never Ceases to Amaze Me !!!

Genesis 22 - Tonight's study at the Chapel. Worship,Obedience,Sacrifice,Love and Faith are just dominant. And if every person would grasp these key words and truly put them into practice. Their LIFE walk would be so much easier. So evermore the dependance on the Lord and Him being the Center off all that we do is eversomore dominant in my thinking.

We are back....

Vacation is over, we had a good time. Never enough time, but once again our trip to Brasil was awesome. We were able to see most of all family members and also quite a few friends that we have cultivated during the years.

Now it's back to reality. Back to work. And trying to figure out how to stay afloat during this current US crisis. But out strenght comes from the Lord Who always is there with us each step of the way.

That is why it's so important our walk with Him. It's our true desire that each and everyone of you that read this, experience this walk. There is nothing like it. And most importantly of all it has eternal consequences. Which cannot be exchanged for anything in this world.

Kid's go back to school this coming monday, our daughter will be graduating from high school this year and our son goes into 7th grade. Where does time go. I can neglect the fact that I am getting old.

My AS seems to be a deterrent to my pulse, but I will not give up. Even though I feel bad for the way I walk and look sometimes, but I will continue to pluck away as long as the Lord gives me the strength to do so.

Focus right now is work. It's been a tough year. But I truly believe that we have the stamina to pull through. We have special deals all the time and customers should be attent to that fact.

If you live in the tampa bay area and are looking for a church were the word is preached and studied feel free to pay us a visit.

I can't believe it's Friday....

It's been a long week. Working many hours. Since the kids are away on vacation. So me and the wife have the house to ourselves. But believe me it's quiet. Because we don't make that much noise anymore. But sometimes it's good to enjoy the peace and quiet. Looking forward to the two days off in a row. Hope you enjoy your weekend also.

Sometimes it pays to pray !!!

You know we should all learn an important thing. Prayer is like a meal, we cannot go without it. Did you know that you do not have to be kneeling down to pray, you do not haft to be in a congregration to pray, you don't even haft to close your eyes to pray. Although some of these are an integral part of our prayer lifes they are not a must. Many are they times that I have prayer driving down the Interstate on my way to work. I sometimes wonder some drivers beside me must think I am crazy because sometimes I pray in loud voice and sometimes get expressive with my hands. But you know I am sure the Lord my God understands the circumnstances and apreciates the thought. Bring all to Him in prayer at all times. Love the Lord your God with all your Heart and with all your understanding. Give your all to the Master and remember the words to the hymn. Trust and Obey for there is no other way !!!

I am a Christian

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not shouting "I'm clean livin'."
I'm whispering "I was lost,
Now I 'm found and forgiven."

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble
and need Christ to be my guide.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak
And need His strength to carry on.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed
And need God to clean my mess.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible
But, God believes I am worth it.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I still feel the sting of pain.
I have my share of heartaches
So I call upon His name.

When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not holier than thou,
I'm just a simple sinner
Who received God's good grace, somehow!

21 Reasons for Buying Beads

1. Baggies and tubes of beads tightly packed in various containers make an excellent insulation for the home.

2. Buying beads keeps our economy going. It is our patriotic duty to support bead stores.

3. It is less expensive and more fun than psychiatric care.

4. Because they are on sale.

5. At any moment the employees of a bead factory might go on strike and limit the availability.

6. We are participating in a contest. The one with the most beads wins.

7. A bead keeps without refrigeration, you don't have to cook it to enjoy it, you never have to feed it, change it or walk it.

8. We need extra weight in the trunk of our cars for traction on icy or muddy roads. You never know when the weather might change.

9. Because we are worth it.

10. Like dust, containers of beads are good for protecting previously empty spaces in the house, such as ironing boards, dining room tables or any other horizontal surface.

11. If the BIG earthquake comes, all the bead stores might be swallowed into the ground and never seen again.

12. Stress from dealing with the "Bead Control Officer" (spouse) makes us do it.

13. Buying beads is not immoral, illegal or fattening. It calms the nerves, gratifies the soul and makes us feel good.

14. We have to buy beads before our husband retires and goes with us on all our shopping expeditions.

15. A bead purchase a day helps us work rest and play.

16. Beads are a proven aphrodisiac.

17. While shopping for beads you don't have to worry if they'll fit, or how big they will make your hips look.

18. Beads don't argue, or get crabby.

19. Beads get better with age, like women and wine.

20. You need never go near Loehmann's dressing room to buy beads.

When will we stop buying beads?????

Sing to the Lord

I will sing to the Lord, for He is highly exalte. Exodus 15:1

This verse is the first time the word (sing) is used in reference to believers in the Bible. God parted the Red Sea and rescued the Israelites. In response, Moses and the people lifted up what may have been the very first song. Ever since that time, music has been a way to mark the important moments in our lives and to proclaim Gods goodness.

P.S. if you are need beads please make sure you visit us at iBead.com, we have just about anything a beader needs to jumpo right into this beader craze and frenzy. Learn how to make your own jewelry with classes that we offer.

Words...

And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.

You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

TAA

How do I get to Heaven?

How to get to Heaven and be

Can you get there by...

...being a good person?

No. There is none good, no not one (Romans 3:10).

...keeping God's Law?

No. God's Law is our teacher to bring us to Christ(Galatians 3:22).

...doing good works? Guess Again. God's work is to believe on Him whom He has sent (John 6:29).

...being born? Does everyone go to heaven? No. The Bible says, "Behold I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me. (Psalm 51:5)

So how do you get there?

You have to be perfect! (Matthew 5:48)

The Bible says that there is none good, no not one but God sent His Son, Jesus, to pay for our sins(Galatians 4:16, 1 Peter 2:24).

Jesus Christ died for our sins on the cross and rose on the third day, conquering sin and death (1 Corinthians 15:3-4).

Why did God do all this for you?

The Bible says that God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not parish but have everlasting life (John 3:16).

If you believe in Jesus you can have eternal life; and if you do not believe in Jesus, you will not see life, but the wrath of God remains on you (John 3:36).

To receive Jesus Christ and have your sins forgiven, simply confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead; and you shall be saved" (Romans 10:9).

Do you believe that Jesus Christ rose from the dead? Are you ready to confess Him as Lord?
If so, pray this prayer from your heart:"God, I am a sinner. Jesus died to save sinners. Jesus died to save me. Forgive me of my sins, cleanse me. Give me a new life. I will follow you everday from this day forward. In Jesus' name, Amen."

If you just prayed to receive Jesus Christ as your Lord, now you are what the Bible calls, "Born Again" (John 3:3). This means you have been born into God's family (1 John 3:1-2). You are God's child and your Father in heaven wants to teach you about Himself. So here aresome things you can do to learn about God and His love:

1st - Get a Bible and start reading at the Gospel of John. Read the Bible every day, so God can teach you His ways through His Word (Psalm 19:7-11).

2nd - Find a Bible teaching Christian Church and attend regularly (Hebrews 10:24-25). Beware of false teachers (Jude 4) such as Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses.

Why I wake up early

Have you ever ruled the house, I mean really rule the house, drink columbian coffee with your mom, and finish your unfinished math homework all before 6:45AM ? This is what I get to do every single morning, while other kids sleep like a rock till 8:15AM.

The way I mean, rule the house is like I'm practicly the only person there. However my dad is sleeping when I rule the house. Shhh don't tell! My sister is at school and my mom is off to work at 6:30AM. In the morning before I go to school I play runescape on the computer, watch Drake and Josh, and play counterstrike on the Xbox.

Every single morning of the week I drink columbian coffee with my mom. When my coffee isn't so hot I finish it in about 10 seconds. But on the other hand if my coffee is burning hot I finish it in about two minutes. While my mom and I have a delightful time driking coffee, we talk about my grades in school, I tell her my test scores.

When my math homework is incomplete I usually finish it in the morning. My math homework is usually done by 6:45AM. If it's not by then, I finish it by 7:00AM. If I have any other homework, I also do it.

These are just some of the reasons why waking up early get's my disposition up to trilled. I rule the house, drink columbian coffee with my mom and fisish my unfinished math homework. These are some of the reasons I suggest you to wake up early in the morning. Another suggestion for you is that if you wake up early is never try to jump over your couch. It leaves you on the floor saying ouch !!!

Colossians 4:2

The Ripple Effect

As the rain and snow come down from heaven
and stay upon the ground to water the earth,
and cause the grain to grow and to produce seed for the farmer and bread for the hungry , so also is my Word.
I sent it out and it always produces fruit.

It shall accomplish all I want it to, and prosper everywhere I send it.

Isaiah 55:10-11, tlb

II Corinthians 4

16Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

They are my....

Take a guess who these two cutie pies are ?

Wow, we made it....

We are in our new house. We have moved in. With loads of help from the movers. From friends. From brothers and sisters in Christ from Church. Our thanks to all for all the tons of help we received from everybody. I must confess I was dead beat by saturday night when I finally went to bed. But relieved that all was in the house. Now it's the organizing getting everything out of boxes. Tossing what we don't need and giving and sharing some things with others, what we don't need it's time to clean up also. Wife is happy with the new house and will all her new furniture and decorations. Now we just need some time to get everything into it's place. Thanks ... Thanks... Thanks...

I am not ashamed of the gospel

"I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the POWER of God for the salvation of everyone who believes..." (Rom. 1:16)

Verse of the Day

If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.
James 1:5/NIV

End of the Spear

A must see. Be sure to take some tissue paper with you because you will shead some tears and you will chocke up at times. The question I ask is what are we waiting for there are some many in need to hear the good news of the gospel, why are we holding back, christians are not doing there duty of sharing there faith with others that have not heard the good news. We need to wake up people we need to share our faith. We need to live by example. This Sunday Morning is not going to cut it, we need a deeper commitment from all of those who have believed. We need to make ever bigger sacrifices in order to have time to not only worship the Lord but also carry out his orders and His good news !!!

Verse of the Day

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.
James 1:2-3/NIV

Thought... "Hang in there!" There are few traits more important than perseverance. Most important accomplishments in life happen because of perseverance. Most "luck" occurs when we've persevered long enough for the "magical moment" to come along -- in other words, I don't believe in luck. Edison said it best: life's greatest feats, the world's greatest discoveries, his own most fantastic inventions are "1% inspiration and 99% perspiration." "Hang in there!" and see the glory of God come through in you, not because of luck, but because of God's grace, love, and Providence!
Prayer... Unchangeable and Unshakeable God, through the friends you have sent into my life and by the power of your gift, the Holy Spirit, help me to stand up under trial and prove my character true with perseverance when under fire. Give my faith courage and endurance so that my life shows forth your enduring strength. I pray in the name of him who remained faithful even unto death, Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen.
